The 2026 Ford Mustang builds on the already bold redesign introduced for 2025, but Ford has added several new styling packages, colors, and personalization options that make the latest Mustang feel even more distinctive. One of the biggest additions is the new FX Package, available on GT Premium Fastback and Convertible models. Inspired by classic Fox Body Mustangs, the package adds Oxford White-painted wheels, white exterior badging, retro-inspired graphics, and white-accented trim details that give the car a nostalgic performance look while still feeling modern. Ford also introduced the first-ever factory-produced Mustang RTR Package for the EcoBoost Fastback, bringing aggressive styling, unique graphics, RTR badging, and anti-lag turbocharger technology developed with RTR Vehicles.

Ford also expanded customization for 2026 with several new exterior paint colors and interior accent choices. The updated Mustang lineup now includes eye-catching paints like Adriatic Blue Metallic, Avalanche Gray, and Orange Fury Metallic Tri-coat, helping the car stand out even more than the 2025 models. Inside, Ford added fresh seat belt color options including Black with Red Stripe, International Orange, and Prime Blue. These additions may seem small, but they reinforce Ford’s push toward greater factory personalization for Mustang buyers who want a more unique appearance directly from the showroom.

Performance remains a major focus for the 2026 Mustang lineup, with Ford carrying over the powerful engine lineup while refining available packages and trim offerings. The EcoBoost models continue to produce 315 horsepower, GT models deliver up to 486 horsepower with the available Active Valve Performance Exhaust, and the Dark Horse maintains its impressive 500-horsepower Gen-4 5.0L Coyote V8. While the core powertrain lineup remains familiar compared to 2025, Ford enhanced the ownership experience through new appearance packages, upgraded connectivity, and additional technology integration across the range.

Another meaningful upgrade for 2026 is the addition of the Ford Connectivity Package, which is included for one year and adds features like an unlimited Wi-Fi hotspot for up to 10 devices, connected navigation, voice assistant capability, and enhanced audio streaming support. The advanced digital cockpit introduced on the seventh-generation Mustang continues with the immersive 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster and 13.2-inch center touchscreen, but Ford is now pairing that technology with more personalization options and broader feature availability. Altogether, the 2026 Mustang doesn’t reinvent the platform introduced in 2025 — instead, it sharpens the formula with more personality, more customization, and several enthusiast-focused upgrades that make the iconic pony car even more exciting heading into the new model year.
